  • Assistant Business Manager

    Hilton Head Preparatory School (HHP) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Business Office Manager to join the Business Office team.

    Position Overview:
    The Assistant Business Office Manager plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Business Office. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this full-time, 12-month position involves working closely with various school personnel to ensure smooth and efficient business processes. The Assistant Business Office Manager is responsible for a range of administrative, financial, and human resource tasks that support the school's mission and operational goals.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    -Hiring Process: Assist with onboarding process, including background checks, preparation of packets, and assisting with new employee setup. Ensure compliance with hiring documents and participate in annual presentations and handbook reviews.
    - Benefits: Act as additional liaison for employee benefits during open enrollment and throughout the year. Assist with FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
    - Financial Processes: Assist Business Manager with Accounts Payable; responsible for invoice entry. Prepare bank cash deposits. Support audit preparation. Process tax payments, as needed.
    - Additional Responsibilities: Oversee vehicle registrations with Director of Security and Transportation, manage employee data, act as backup for Receptionist, support the school’s leadership with other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
    - Possess a four-year college degree, accounting, human resources or business preferred; experience working in a school setting is a plus.
    - Computer applications including Internet, MS Excel, and MS Word. Must have experience with accounting software. Blackbaud experience is a plus.
    - Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
    - Ability to work individually and as a team, as well as to remain calm and multi-task.
    - Service-oriented problem-solver who is able to successfully work with diverse individuals in an educational environment.
    - Have strong attention to detail.

  • Associate Head Softball Coach

    Hilton Head Preparatory School (HHP) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Head Coach of Varsity Girls Softball with a positive attitude and eagerness to support the Program Director/Head Coach in establishing a competitive, disciplined, and organized program; through developing a structured plan for progression and growth. The associate head coach should embrace the understanding of the importance and role of athletics within the school, as a co-curricular activity that helps to develop the whole child. 

    Coaching Responsibilities:  
    • Serve alongside the Program Director/Varsity Coach of Girls Softball in overseeing the development, promotion, and growth of the softball golf program (Grades 8-12) in conjunction with the mission of HHP
    • Serve as a leader in building appropriate relationships, while being a role model for those in your program
    • Work closely with Program Director to grow coaching acumen and understanding of a head coach role and responsibilities, to eventually assume head coaching role one day
    • Abide by the rules and regulations established by HHP – we are a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA)
    • Be encouraging while training and coaching the participants in the program
    • Work collegially with fellow coaches and Athletic department staff
    • Instruct players in the rules, regulations, and techniques of the sport
    • Implement sound strategies to encourage improvement during practices and games
    • Utilize school transportation to transport athletes to and from practices and games
    • Role models good sportsmanship, and maintains appropriate conduct towards athletes, officials, and spectators
    • Coordinate summer coaching/playing opportunities and camp selection with players (and families), when applicable
    • Generate additional support of the program through building connections with middle school students and families

    Qualifications: 
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success as a high school player; or 1 or more years as a collegiate player, and or 2 or more years as a coach at the middle/high school level or above 
    • Strong leadership experience preferred
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to work with coaching staff, faculty, and administrative team members of the school
    • Utilize excellent communication skills with players, parents, and the athletic department
    • Exhibit great attention to detail in communication, preparation, and organization

  • Middle School Girls Soccer Coach

    • Serve as the Middle School soccer coach overseeing the development, promotion, and growth of the athletes (Grades 6-8) in conjunction with the Varsity Head Coach, under the mission of HHP
    • Serve as a leader in building appropriate relationships, while being a role model for those in your program
    • Report to and work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director/MS AD
    • Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to build a cohesive soccer program from grades 6-12

  • School Nurse – Substitute Position

    Position Summary:
    When one nurse needs to be absent, the Substitute School Nurse will join the second on-campus nurse in maintaining a safe environment for children ages 15 months to 18 years.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Promote and Protect Student Health:
    - Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses during the school day.
    - Assess and monitor student health needs, referring to healthcare providers when necessary.
    - Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students using our electronic health portal.

    Medication Administration & Management:
    - Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications in accordance with state and school policies.
    - Maintain secure storage and documentation of all medications.
    - Monitor and manage students with diabetes, including blood glucose checks, insulin administration, and responding to hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia.

    Qualifications/ SC State Requirements
    - Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. License number must be provided during onboarding paperwork.
    - Graduate from an accredited nursing program with copy of transcript or diploma
    - Have current CPR and Blood Borne Pathogen certification.
    - Pass required state and federal background checks including fingerprinting.
    - Maintain license renewal per SC Board of Nursing guidelines.

  • Part-time CDL Bus Driver

    CDL Bus Operator
    Part-time
    Starting in August, 2025

    Part-Time/As Needed CDL (Class B) bus driver needed for late afternoon/early evening sports team trips and some short daytime trips. This position is responsible for safely transporting children to and from school and related events. Primary responsibility will
    be for athletic events (to and from) which can occur in the afternoon/evenings. 

    Responsibilities Include:
    - Operating the Bus: Safely driving a bus along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and regulations, and following a schedule. 
    - Safety and Compliance: Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, ensuring all safety equipment is in working order, and adhering to DOT regulations. 
    - Vehicle Maintenance: Performing basic maintenance checks (tires, lights, oil, etc.), and reporting any mechanical issues or defects. 
    - Maintaining a Clean Bus: Keeping the bus interior clean, tidy, and free of clutter. 

    Requirements:
    - Active Commercial Driver’s License (Class B).
    - Must pass background check.
    - Interest in working around children aged 2 years to 12th grade.

  • Prep Plus Aftercare

    Our Prep Plus Aftercare program is needing assistants! Prep Plus is offered every calendar school day here at Hilton Head Prep. The hours are Monday-Thursday from 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm and Friday from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm. Compensation will be $20 per hour.
  • Substitute Teachers

    We are seeking talented and inspired 15 months through high school Guest Teachers across four divisions (montessori, elementary, middle, and high school). A position at Prep is an opportunity to grow as a teacher/researcher in a supportive and active community. This position requires a person who is detail oriented, child centered, has a sense of humor and most of all, is able to work in a team. 
     
    Responsibilities
    •Carries out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
    •Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
    •Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives as indicated in the lesson plans for the lessons, units, or projects assigned
    •Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting lesson objectives
